Xanadu Hotel Closing, Xanadu Timeshare Remaining Open

The Xanadu Beach Resort [Hotel] in Grand Bahamas appears ready to close it doors at least temporarily through the summer from July to October.  The move is seen by employees to be a ploy to get rid of some workers amid the economic crisis spanning the globe.  That said, the timeshare portion of the resort will remain open even during the closure of the hotel.  This should provide some sense of the pecking oreder to the profitability of timeshares versus hotels.

Timeshare Relief Donates to Four Charities of Choice

Timeshare Relief recently gave charitable donations to four sizable non-profit organizations that have become the “Charities of Choice” for the company.  The co-founders of the company David MacMillan and Cindy Martin MacMillan chose the four charities personally that they felt had a broad impact on the community.  They are City of Hope, Habitat for Humanity International,  Humane Society of the United States, and The Mayo Clinic.

The MacMillans and the executives at Timeshare Relief firmly believe in supporting these charities because all the organizations are focused on helping others much like Timeshare Relief.  Furthermore, the charities are able to aid a broader audience whereas Timeshare Relief provide relief for timeshare owners.

“Timeshare Relief has helped tens of thousands of owners within the timeshare community over the years,” said Cindy Martin MacMillan. “It’s been a pleasure to positively affect so many lives and to broaden the effect by giving back to the community at large with these ‘Charities of Choice.’”

The MacMillans stress that this donation is just the beginning of their support for their designated Charities of Choice.

“We are contributing to our Charities of Choice because one day we all are not going to be here any longer, and what really matters is to leave the world a slightly better place than how we found it,” added David MacMillan. ” All our ‘Charities of Choice’ subscribe to such a philosophy and go the extra mile. We’re proud to associate ourselves with them and commit to an on-going cycle of contributions to these fine organizations.”

Is Timeshare Relief Coming To a Town Near You?

Periodically, you’ll see notices on this blog that highlight areas where some of the expert timeshare owner advocates will travel to so that they can meet timeshare owners.  They help educate owners on what is happening in the timeshare industry, dispell some myths and widely-held beliefs about timeshares, and propose a solution for those owners who want to get rid of their timeshares.

These orientations to our company are held throughout the US and now Canada.  We often get rave reviews about our advocates’ down-to-earth, friendly attitudes and their knowledge of the timeshare industry.  They want to do what’s best for the people they meet.

If you would like to find out if we plan to be in your local area, please call the Timeshare Relief offices at 1-866-797-0535.

By the way, this weekend our teams will be in eleven (11) states: Arizona, Connecticut, Kentucky, Massachusettes, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Over the course of the year, we’ll be around a major metropolitan area close to you for sure.  Please come out to meet us.  Pre-registration is required.

Consolidated Resorts Banktupcy Part II; Tahiti Village Done?

A few interesting tidbits of news regarding the Consolidated Resorts bankruptcy announcement:

- It appears as if no more units to Tahiti Village are being sold.

- Tahiti was at one time selling timeshare units that had not been built yet…no telling what will happen to those units or what will be done for the timeshare owners.

- Consolidated Resorts had an investment partnership from Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

- There are rumors that Consolidated will cease all sales operations in Hawaii…it’s be to seen whether resort operations are affected.  This would be consistent with what is happening in Las Vegas.
